Bank of America was founded in 1784 and is headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina. As of April 2021, it is one of the largest U.S. financial institutions serving approximately 66 million consumer and small business customers through approximately 4,300 retail financial centers and has approximately 17,000 ATMs and a digital banking platform with 40 million active users.
Bank of America operates through four business segments: consumer banking, global wealth and investment management, global banking and global market.
